Wanted to know…
They are photos that show who you are. Usually taken from the breast line or waist up, where you are looking at the camera. They are designed to make a connection with those viewing them. They aim to show you as someone they could see themselves doing business with because you look approachable, professional, friendly and trustworthy.
Photos that show what you do. They can be taken in so many different locations, super busy, totally casual, creative or hardworking. They can involve your family, co-workers, pets and so on. Pretty much showing what makes you, you, and gives you common ground with your audience to connect to you with. Usually content for social media or blogging.
It is the price paid for the following:
- retaining exclusive rights to my services on the day and at the time you require them.
- a pre shoot consultation to go through the process of discovery and planning for exactly what that session will consist of.
- have your photos taken and edited and
- coming in to view your photos and pick which ones you love the most.
No. It is a great place to create your photos. Depending on what your photography needs are, so is your office, your home, where you work and outdoors. Sometimes shoots occur in a combination of places. That is why the consultation process is so important.
Absolutely. Gift vouchers are a great way to help someone with their business. Some of the most popular reasons they are given are as gifts for start-up business owners and as birthday, Christmas and anniversary presents to someone with a business.
You can use as many gift vouchers per session as you would like. The vouchers are not limited to use. You can use them for both your session fee and purchasing images. Some people get gift vouchers instead of other presents for a birthday etc.
Yes. Gift vouchers have a 3 month expiry. Bookings are to be made within 6 weeks of purchase (unless otherwise agreed to prior to purchase).
How many people do you need in your photos? Each business is unique as is each photo session. My session fee covers one business by definition of location. Businesses that have multiple locations are more than welcome to make enquiries to book photo sessions, however rates and conditions can be sorted out during a phone call or face to face conversation.
Absolutely. For corporate headshots, commercial photography and personal branding photography you purchase the image files from me. You will be given a 'Photography Release' which states your ownership of the files and can, when needed, prove to your printer that you have permission to have photos printed.
It is recommended, however, that you get your photos created with a professional and accredited printing service to ensure colour, quality and service are of the best possible standard. You also have the option to order your printed product through me.
The images we provide are 2480 pixel (long edge) at 72 dpi. If you would like your images printed there is a variety of products to choose from.
A full session fee of $500 is paid as confirmation of your booking. 50% of the session fee is the non-refundable retainer. This is to secure the date and time for you alone. Meaning I will book no other photo session on the day you have booked yours. My commitment on this day is for you alone. (Events and special campaigns excluded.)
Should you need to cancel you will be refunded the difference between $250 and the total sum $ you have paid when cancelled more than 48 hours out from your booked session. If your cancellation is less than 48 hours from your booked session time I reserve the right to retain all of your session fee.

I would suggest at least 5 different looks with a range of colors and necklines, staying away from bright colors and prints as they are distracting to the eye. #1 rule is that you love it. If you don’t feel comfortable in it, you won’t shoot well while wearing it. Keep the jewellery to a minimum. Studs or small earrings work, anything else will draw too much attention.
*Both women and men should moisturize their lips. Dry, chapped lips cannot be retouched well. Start moisturizing a few days before your photo session.
Women I strongly suggest you hire a professional to do your hair and make-up. While this is an extra cost, it will enhance your look and allow you to concentrate on the shoot. If you prefer to do your own make-up, keep it natural. It is easier to apply more make-up than take it off. I have access to a certified makeup artist and she can apply your makeup specifically tailored to photography, this is an extra charge and is separate to all photography fees and charges.
Style your hair as if you’re going for an audition or an important meeting. You want your hair in your pictures to be as close as possible to the way you look on a fantastic hair day.
Men
You’ll be happy to know I don’t recommend makeup for men. If possible, don't get your hair cut right before the session, you don't want the fresh scalped look. Wait a few weeks after a cut to let it grow in a bit.
I offer multiple ways to pay for your session and products. I accept cash, credit cards, PayPal and direct deposit. Payment must be received in full before images are released.
Your job is to just be you. My job is to guide you through the whole session so that you look the best in every image. A well planned and detailed shot list will be made up for your session so there will be a smooth transition from one image to the next. We will work this out together.
Blemishes or non permanent marks (i.e. pimples, scratches or insect bites) shall be removed, anything that is you stays. It's essential to keep the retouching to a minimum in order to preserve a natural look.
You will come for a reveal session within 2 weeks of your session and your images will be delivered within a week of that.
