The Southpaw Shearer

The Southpaw Shearer was photographed in 2016 outside Stanthorpe in a shearing shed over 100 years old.
The shearing industry is more than just shearers and sheep. It is the smell, the sound, the energy, the camaraderie, the experience, the hard work, the hard days. It is about family, about belonging, about tradition, and about an art I am so thankful to know.

This photo was the beginning of my photography career. It was where I realised I am more than a happy snapper. I am very thankful.
